Caring about your heart is an important first step to managing heart and vascular disease. Start by scheduling a complimentary heart and vascular screening through our Dare to C.A.R.E. Program.
Heart disease is the leading cause of death for both men and women in the United States. Early treatment and prevention are key to living a healthier and enjoyable life. Dare to C.A.R.E. is a complimentary heart and vascular disease education and screening program provided by the Adventist Heart & Vascular Institute and the Heart Health Foundation.
The Dare to C.A.R.E. program screens for abnormalities that cause the following diseases:
At your appointment, the vascular technologist will conduct a painless 15-minute, non-invasive ultrasound of your neck, abdomen and legs. Results will be shared with you as well as sent to your doctor so you can decide on a treatment plan that works best for you, if necessary. Screenings are a no-cost, no-obligation way to learn more about your heart health.
Screenings are currently offered in Calistoga and Clearlake.
Dare to C.A.R.E. provides free vascular screenings to any patient over the age of 60, or over age of 50 with certain risk factors for heart and vascular disease, including smoking, diabetes, hypertension and high cholesterol. Dare to C.A.R.E. also offers free screenings to all diabetics over the age of 40.
